Afrocentric Ghanaian rapper M.anifest, real name Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, has come out say that people don’t respect you when you work hard to earn a living.
The award winning rapper in his recent tweet suggested that most of the problems we have as a society bedeviling us, is as result of applauding underhand and shady dealings rather than finding ways to stop it.
“Making an honest modest living is not respected in these parts. A lot of our problems being here” he tweeted.
It is not clear why M.anifest is saying this, but one could also take a cue from the fact that the show of wealth and luxury has become common place on social media. A trend users are for and against as most of sources these flamboyant lifestyle are yet to be uncovered.
Until the “god MC” as he’s most often referred to, comes out to explain the motives behind his frustrations, let’s adopt a wait and see attitude.
Manifest was in the news recently with Sarkodie, when the two hip-hop heavy weights teamed up on a song titled “Brown Paper Bag”.
The song is work of art which addresses slavery, self-hate and corrupt government officials.
