On ‘My Story’, Mani Mandela reminisces about how he started rock bottom as a kid: in a school under trees with no seats. Regardless, he was able to excel. He also touches on his apparent mental torture during his tenure at the University of Cape Coast amidst some personal stuff.
With his immense composition acumen, this song is once again written in three languages – English, Twi and Bulisa. Mani Mandela advises the youth to work harder because there’s no short cut to heaven, nor to success unless you strive harder and harder.
He also thanked his parents for not giving up on him and doing what it took to get him educated.
Take a listen.
