Merqury Republic, organizers of the annual Ghana DJ Awards Festival, have signed a new partnership agreement with the Ghana Library Authority.
Inspired by the 2022 “Year of Books” declaration by the Ghana Library Authority, the agreement is purposed to encourage reading, support learning and development opportunities among DJs and other creative across Ghana.
Plans are in place for events which explore connections, encourage lifelong reading and enable DJs and other creatives.
The agreement signed at the Head Office of the Ghana Library Authority by Merqury Quaye, CEO of Merqury Republic and Mr Samuel Essuman, Head of Finance of the Ghana Library Authority, is to provide the framework by which the GhLA or its authorized agents and Merqury Republic or its authorized agents shall collaborate to promote a reading culture among DJs and other creativesthrough the Ghana DJ Clinic to promote Ghana Library Authority’s ‘Year of Books’ agenda.
Merqury Quaye, CEO of Merqury Republic, said: “Through the Ghana DJ Clinic, we have curated an educational platform to encourage learning among DJs and other creatives in the past, but this agreement will emphasize greatly the importance of reading and learning and will provide lifelong benefits for the industry with a range of significant activities planned for the coming months”.

2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the annual Ghana DJ Awards Festival.
