Ghana’s leading telecommunications network MTN Ghana has extended its hands to all 25th December new born babies at the Adidome District Hospital in the Central Tongu Constituency, Volta Region.
Continuing their social and corporate responsibilities to the society, the annual donation marked the 3rd consecutive hamper giveaway to all newborn babies birthed on Christmas Day at the Adidome Hospital.
The excitement on the faces of these mothers says alot as they lavish uncontrollable praise on MTN Ghana foundation. “We mothers of December 25th, today we have received a big donation from MTN with a lot of cash and credit, we will never forget them, wherever they go may their network continue to be the best” said by one nursing mother called Ewenam.
Established in 1957, the Adidome Hospital has chalked excellence in healthcare care delivery to its patients. Serving over 100,000 inhabitants across the region, the hospital needs an expansion in facilities to keep delivering at the highest level.
“I want to say a big thanks to MTN foundation because we are privileged to have received this items on three occasions. This hospital was established in the 50s, I believe there is a lot that we can do to help the hospital and very soon we will be approaching MTN for help”, Torgbui Agyemang V (Chief Of Adidome) told the media during his appreciation speech.
The MTN Ghana Foundation was established in 2007 as a single purpose vehicle to drive all MTN’s CSR initiatives in the country. The Foundation currently has three focus areas – Health, Education and Economic Empowerment. The Foundation is set up as a separate legal entity with its own independent Board of Directors and Patrons who oversee the operations of the Foundation.
Its commitment is centered around the socio-economic development of the country through the rollout of appropriate and sustainable social interventions in communities all over the country.
