The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) proudly congratulates Rocky Dawuni on his fourth Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Performance for his single “Rise.” This recognition underscores his significant contributions to music and culture.

 

“Rise” as a call to action for overcoming adversity and celebrating life’s victories , emphasizes unity and the potential for communities across the Black diaspora to achieve liberation and freedom through collective effort.

 

The blend of Afrobeat and highlife with contemporary hip-hop elements, creating a unique sound reflects Rocky’s Ghanaian roots while appealing to a global audience.

 

Rocky Dawuni’s artistic journey continues to inspire many, and MUSIGA celebrates this remarkable achievement with him and wish him all the best.

Rocky previously served as World Ambassador for MUSIGA, a role that highlighted his commitment to promoting Ghanaian music globally.
