British-born Ghanaian and founder and Chief Executive Officer of both Sixth Sense, a brand management Company and Sai Wine Café, a Wine Bar in Accra, Ghana, Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah is out with her first self-published book ‘How to Get Ahead in Ghana.’
The new book which in 10 simple steps seeks to help Ghanaian’s realize and tap into their power within to be the best version of themselves, is available in a number of retail books outlets as well as online via JUMIA, amazon or book nook.
According to the author and CEO, her move to Ghana in 2010 with her 4-month-old son was ordained by God, she had a spiritual calling to move to Ghana. Prior to her move, she had only visited Ghana for a maximum of 2 weeks when she was 13, 18 and 24.
Speaking about her book, she said, “the book sets to encourage Ghanaians to embark on a journey of self-discovery allowing them to be the change they want to see in the world. Moving them away from blaming the government, family, their circumstances and situations for their lack but rather looking within for the solution. It is a 10 step, self-help, motivational book written for Ghanaians by a Ghanaian. Understanding that we need to be the change that we want to see in the world becomes the greatest breakthrough for us as humanity.”

About Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa- Mensah
In 2010, British-born Ghanaian Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah had a spiritual calling and moved to Ghana, West Africa with her 4-month-old son. Prior to her move, Nadia had only visited Ghana for a maximum of 2 weeks when she was 13, 18 and 24.
In 2010, Nadia established a marketing agency named Sixth Sense and was successful in winning their first account with Vodafone Ghana after 2 months of being in operation. This win and successful execution was the beginning of Sixth Sense winning accounts with leading multinational brands including Sage, Merck Pharmaceutical, Viber, WorldRemit, Prudential and many more over the years.
In 2012, Nadia expanded to establish an operational office in Lagos, Nigeria where the agency was successful in winning accounts with the likes of IFC, MSD Pharmaceutical and many more.
By 2018, Nadia further expanded the agency to 8 other countries and was fortunate to win accounts with brands including Estée Lauder, Standard Chartered.
Nadia is presently in the process of leading the Sixth Sense team in The UK to provide leading brands with marketing services for them to engage with black consumers in the UK.
Throughout the years of its development, Sixth Sense has picked up an award and in 2016, Nadia was awarded Women Entrepreneur of the Year in Ghana.
In November 2014, Nadia had another spiritual calling whilst on holiday in the USA and by April 2015, she opened Sai – West Africa’s first wine café, serving over 30 wine varietals, from over 100 brands produced in both old and new world wine-producing countries, paired with food. Over the years Sai Wine Café has become a home away from home for residents of Accra and tourists and this year Sai Wine Café is celebrating its 5 years by moving to a new location within Accra.
Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah is also an Executive Secretary of Ghana Nigeria Business Council and board member of Ahaspora Professionals Network.
Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah has been featured in many interviews, university talks, event panels and of late webinars as she shares her experience, knowledge, and wisdom in all things God, purpose, culture, business, entrepreneurship, leadership, marketing, motherhood, wine, being a diasporan and much more.
