The less-than-a-month-old 14-track album has already amassed over 89.7M streams on just Audiomack and 3.3M on Boomplay. As part of his promotional strategies, Malian president Naira Marley arrived in Ghana yesterday to embark on a media tour to throw more light on his new album, and discuss his career, family and other related issues. He made a stop at MX24 TV to have a chitchat with Jason EL-A.

Looking at the streams his album is amassing on the digital stream platforms, Naira Marley’s album is speaking to the people it’s supposed to speak to yet it’s undoubtedly going to reach out to more people. According to the Marlian megastar, he didn’t see his breakthrough coming but he worked towards it. That’s why he keeps evolving with time to get much bigger and better at his music craft. The drive behind his album title ‘God’s Timing’s The Best – (GTTB)’ is very simple – it matches his life.
He acknowledged the fact, that there were a lot of things going on in his life that he tried to do in his own time, yet he did not get the expected results as compared to God’s timing. Adding that, the time he moved back to Nigeria was a perfect time and the time he had his kids was equally a perfect time.
For the first time, Naira has confirmed being on Shatta Wale’s Gift Of God album while working around the clock to feature other Ghanaian musicians. There are a couple of talented upcoming Ghanaian acts the Marlian president is also looking to sign when the time is right. It’s important to note that, Naira plans of hosting his biggest Marlian Festival in Ghana, details will be communicated when the time is due. Until then, anticipate.
Wrapping up the interview, he spoke fervently about how significant his Marlian fan base means to him and how connected he is with them to help offload the struggles they are facing and believe in themselves through his music.
