Obour’s Family demand autopsy report on late Dad

The family of the former MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour aka Obour has demanded a copy of the autopsy report on the cause of death of the late Oyokohene, Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour, Obour’s father.

The request is contained in a letter from the solicitors for the family Smith & Adelaide dated March 30, 2020 and signed by Bobby Banson Esq.

The letter states that “since the death of the deceased, they have not received any communication from your outfit regarding the requisite procedures to be undertaken to ensure that the family is able to plan for the aftermath of his death.”

The letter also indicates that “Our Client has instructed us to demand on their behalf, the autopsy report confirming the cause of death of the deceased. If the medical facility is not in the position to undertake the autopsy within the shortest possible time, our Client will offer to contract and independent medical officer to undertake the autopsy, subject to the safety measures and regulations governing such a procedure.”

Prior to the letter from the solicitors, the Queenmother of Juaso, Nana Fobiri Tiwaa Foriwaa had issued a statement calling for the release of the autopsy report of the late chief to the family.
The request by the family of the late Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour comes in the wake of the controversy that has ensued, following the late chief’s death which was announced by Joy FM and other media organizations even before the bereaved family was informed.

What is even more baffling is how Obour is being maligned and vilified regardless of the fact that he and the family are grieving the loss of the late Oyokohene, Nana Kuffour.
