From Tuesday, August 3, to Friday, August 6, 2021, the Raphael Korda Foundation embarked on health educational talks in six basic schools across three communities (namely Nyive,Shia and Tanyigbe) within the Ho Municipality.
The sessions were dedicated to creating awareness on the benefits and risks of menstrual hygiene among teenage girls.
The team seized the opportunity to discourage the girls from using unhygienic alternatives for sanitary pads (such as old cloths, toilet rolls etc).
A total of 250 teenage girls were impacted with each of them issued a sanitary pad and a reusable nose mask.
