Shatta Wale has congratulated Ras Kuuku on his VGMA 2020 award in an interview with King Lagazee on Hitz 103.9fm.
In a series of issues he addressed on the show pertaining to unity and progress of the Reggae/Dancehall Community, Shatta Wale made a lot of critical reasoning; and Ras Kuuku was also part of his talk — he eulogized him.
“A guy that I know from the streets has also got the plaque I have also received before. And he is out there showing it to the world. I am proud of what he is doing with it. That is commitment, he has a serious work attitude and he appreciates the result of his hard work”, says Shatta.
Ras Kuuku gained a lot of prominence on the local media scene after winning “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste Of The Year” at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. It’s the third time he got nominated in the awards but a first time he won it. He traveled to USA recently and took the plaque with to show off the of his hard work. He was captured with the VGMA plaque with local police on the streets of America, on interviews and in bed ‘cuddling’ the plaque.
According to Ras Kuuku’s Manager, Michael Asambo (Biggest Boss), his artiste is in America to finalize work on an upcoming EP set for December release titled “Kwame Nkrumah”.
