Rastafari Council of Ghana teams up with Natural Way Herbal Clinic to embark on Free Medical Screening

Accra, Ghana – February 20, 2025 – The Rastafari Council, Ghana, in collaboration with the Natural Way Herbal Clinic, will host a free health screening exercise on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 10:00 am at the Musicians Union of Ghana office in Accra.

This health screening is part of the activities leading up to the 10th National Rastafari Conference, scheduled for Saturday, March 1, 2025. The National Organizer of the Rastafari Council, Ghana Richard Kwaku Hussey aka Ras Mawuli says, “The RCG recognizes the importance of health and well-being within the community hence our partnership with Natural Way Herbal Clinic to provide access to essential healthcare services with the health screening exercise.” He added, “The goal of the health screening is to address the fundamental challenges regarding access to quality healthcare services in Ghana.”

The screenings will include tests for common diseases and the C.E.O of Natural Way Herbal Clinic, Dr. Wiafe Akenten will give some education on healthy eating and managing chronic conditions among others.

The health screening event is open to the public and aims to provide comprehensive medical consultations, promote overall well-being, and raise awareness about important health issues.
This year’s conference has Prof. Imhotep Alagidede of the University of Ghana Business School as the keynote speaker.

The Rastafari Council, Ghana, is the umbrella organization for Rastafari in Ghana and among others promotes the Rastafari way of life, which centers on African Reconstruction. The council engages in various initiatives to support the community and uphold African heritage.
