RCA Records’ Sevana drops “Be Somebody” EP, shares official video for “Mango”

Rising Jamaican Reggae Singer, Sevana born Anna-Share Blake in Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica has released her much anticipated extended play (EP) album, “Be Somebody” under RCA Records with a strategic brand placement partnership between RCA Records and Jamaican Reggae Singer, Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective facilitated by Six Course Records. With her first single “If You Only Knew” released off the 6-track EP weeks after announcing her EP, Sevana seeks to intrigue and carry people along on her adventure of self-discovery and love on all the singles listed on the EP, “Be Somebody”.

 

“Be Somebody” with soothing vocals coupled with meaningful lyrics, Sevana craves for success all fields of endeavor and prays for elevation of her status. “Phone A Friend” serves the purpose of informing society about the need to constantly be in connection with our neighbors to curb suicidal thoughts. With flirtatious lyrics, Sevana seeks love on “Mango”. The Singer reassures us on how “Blessed” she is on track 4 and it is evidential with how responsive her cult fan base is and her vocals are unmatched.  The lead single “If You Only Knew” is a love song that solidifies Sevana’s psyche about her commitment to love. This single was released with a video shot in Dakar, Senegal and Portland, Jamaica by director Yoram Savion. Taking someone’s love for granted can actually turn them into sour individuals, in “Set Me On Fire”, Sevana clearly avenges for her pain in her relationship.

The 6-track EP is a reggae music genre with influences of R&B, Soul and majority of her traditional sounds from the Caribbean.

Stage name, Sevana coined from where she grew up, Savannah-La-Mar, Sevana got exposed to music as early as age 8 where she got inspirations from musicians such as Celine Dion, Beyonce and Anita Baker. She had her major industry introduction after her feature on Protoje’s “Ancient Future” album and joined Protoje’s label, In.Digg.Nation Collective to release self-titled EP in 2016. The young reggae prodigy is full of potentials and the world looks forward to hearing good sounds from her.
