Salatiel — Singer, Songwriter, Producer & Performer steps foot in Ghana to comb new grounds for his music. He launched the official video for his much anticipated new single “Aya Gayo” on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at a press soirée in Accra.
The name Salatiel perhaps may not ring a bell in your ear if you’re in Ghana but this multi-talented gem has a very enviable music CV that would marvel you if you take a peak through his catalogue.
Speaking to the press at the launch, the gleeful singer was super excited to be in Ghana for the first time. He is due to take on a few promotional tours of radio and television before moving back to base.
The song “Aya Gayo” he says is a common interjection he coined to mean “The Good Times” and celebrating life and people.
“Aya Gayo” is a clean lyric song with very apt and colourful picturesque shot between locations in Cameroon and South Africa he says. Video was directed by Justin Campos.
Apart from working with many notable mainstream francophone artistes, Salatiel has won for himself a major career push on the much publicized Beyoncé album “The Lion King” releases in 2019 which featured quite a number of African descents. Salatiel featured on the song “Water” with Beyoncé and Pharell.
The fast-rising Cameroonian Singer who spoke impeccable English says he looks forward to collaborating with Ghanaian talents and other Anglophone artistes and producers. Born Salatiel Livenja Bessong, he doubles as the CEO of his own indie label, Alpha Better Records. He majors in Afrobeats, Reggae, Dancehall and Soca.
