Shatta Wale announces ‘Big 6’ Project for Kumasi

Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale has announced a new project dubbed ‘Big 6’ to promote and bring more buzz to the Kumerica trend which is fast becoming a tradition if you like.
“Basically it was the love that I have for Kumasi and I decided to create a project.. for us to also support this Kumerican agenda”
“So I thought it wise to also help them.. is what I also want to show to Kumasi that this is the little that I can offer in their music industry to help it grow”.
According to Shatta, the Kumerica trend which started on social media but has now trickled down to the masses has huge potentials to bring investment and create wealth for the upcoming artists is taken seriously by the showbiz industry.
“There is a trend and if we don’t take care Kumasi is gonna be the next place for entertainment” he told popular radio host Sammy Flex.
Stakeholders in the music industry have thrown it under the hammer for sometime now, arguing that the music business has lost its fragrance to foreign materials.
However, the award winning musician thinks that “this is business and is also for growth.. Kumasi is practising that now.. when you don’t take care Kumasi will be like Nigeria cos see what they are looking at.. they are looking at how the world can accept a culture like this” he opined.
He also mentioned that the new crop of musicians are putting in the needed efforts to promote and propel their careers hence his resolute decision to invest his creative juices to make this Kumerican cocktail sweet.
“I believe they need direction..so me my impact on this project is just to motivate them and let them understand a few roads.. they can use to really create this thing and make it a lifetime career for themselves.. these artists are dear to my heart” he said.
The ‘Big 6’ project by Shatta Wale is made up of three solid tracks and features some of the hottest Kumerican flag hoisters namely Kwaku Flick, Amerado, Faz, YPee, King Paluta, Kofi Jamal and Kweku Smoke.
According to him even though the project is called ‘Big 6‘, the artists he featured on the project are seven because he wanted to help more.
