Senior Ghana Musicians, Samini, Ras Kuuku, Ara B, just to name a few have all thrown their weight behind Sean Taylor on the release of his debut EP titled “Osu Tape”.
Exactly a week ago today, Sean Taylor dropped a 5-tracked EP in honour of his homemade, Osu. Apart from featuring some Osu talents, he also highlighted key zones within the community in his mixtape. Taking a leap further with his music career, Sean Taylor feels a better way to push himself is to acknowledge where he is coming from hence the title.
Big artistes Samini, Shatta Wale and Ras Kuuku were seen in snippets congratulating Sean Taylor for the work of art. You might wanna watch here on YouTube:
“I’ve named it ‘Osu Tape’ because I want to project my identity as an African youth from Osu — a very vibrant suburb in the heart of Accra, Ghana’s very own capital city. It’s very much needed to highlight where I come from with my very first collective, the project features other talented artistes who hail from Osu or have a very strong connection to the suburb. This further explains why the songs in this body of work have a huge part of it in the native dialect of Osu which is the ‘Ga’ language; I featured it massively in all the songs listed for this EP”, Sean Taylor explains.
