Shazam today announced the launch of an innovative feature designed to enrich the music discovery experience and provide users with unprecedented insights into track performance. The new Popular Segments feature will roll out beginning December 10th on Shazam.com.
The feature tops off an eventful year of enhancements and updates to Shazam.com, including the recent additions of Artist links — featuring official websites and social media—with their bios, “Just Announced” concerts, and more, all part of Shazam’s ongoing efforts to make artists and their music even more discoverable.

Popular Segments: Understanding What Captivates Listeners
Popular Segments spotlights the key moments within a track that drove the most Shazam activity within the past week. Available for top tracks ranking on Shazam’s charts and based on Shazam tag volume, this interactive feature displays relative segment popularity throughout a song, allowing users to hover over the graph and reveal precise time markers and corresponding segments.
This new feature offers a unique view of the song segments currently resonating most and peaking audience engagement of those songs with Shazam.
