
The managing editor of Ghana News Guide, Ishmael Awudi, has been honoured at the prestigious Diamond Excellence Awards for telling the stories of exceptional young people who are often sidelined by the mainstream media. The honour includes a medal, diamond, and a citation.
Mr. Awudi is a renowned journalist and founder of Ghana News Guide, an online media publication that tells the stories of young people and also reports on happenings within Ghana and beyond.
Through the establishment of the Young Achievers Show, which is hosted by Michaella Addai, a flagship programme on Ghana News Guide, stories have been told to uplift and connect youths to various opportunities.
Speaking at the sidelines of the event, Mr. Awudi highlighted his passion for young people like himself.
“In my bid to provide a platform for young achievers, I identified a significant dichotomy in the media space. This inspired me to create opportunities for entrepreneurs and students to share their stories to inspire, motivate, and drive societal change. This is because I believe in the transformative power of storytelling”.

Jonathan Kennedy Sowah, a CNN African Voice Changemaker and expert in robotics and AI, Theodora Abiwu [Efo Korku] Mawuto, a multimedia journalist and founder of EKMCC; and Dr. Khadija Owusu, a young Ghanaian medical doctor in the UK and founder of the Akaya Foundation” He added.
