“TheFinestMc”, PM set to celebrate his 10-years’ career journey with an event dubbed “Dine With The Street”

Some where in 2009 after SHS (Koforidua Sectech), his Pastor, Mr Essel gave him the chance to MC a Sunday Service eventhough he had never hosted any event before. He went home after he was told, watched videos of some Emcees, rehearsed, got to church and did his best. His 1st mentor was his mother. He always watched her MC and Sing in Church that made him develop love for Emceeing.

Fortunately, Nana Quasi-Wusu a.k.a PM who is now popularly addressed by his fans as #TheFinestMc had admission to TTU the following year to read Civil Engineering. Upon getting there, he grabbed every opportunity from hosting birthday parties to Restaurant Services.

In level 200, he graduated to hosting Hall week celebrations, Fashion shows, pool parties, Artiste Night etc. In the Final year, He had the chance to host the biggest Fashion Show in W/R “Technique Style”. Because of his excellent performance, he had the chance to host it 4 years continuously. Other events includes Miss TTU, G Park Awards Night (3x) etc. His excellent performance made TTU SRC invite him over even during his National Service at Bibiani to come and host their events.

His 1st pay was actually a pack of Jollof with chicken that was a Restaurant Service in level 100, followed by 50 cedis all in 2010.

10 ways Nana Quasi-Wusu (PM) kept developing himself as A Professional MC and still does:

1: His focus was to develop a craft and the money started coming by itself at the right time.
2: Grabbing every opportunity that came his way and performing at a 100 percent whether he was paid or not.
3: Learning from his Mentors, KKD, KOD, Bola Ray, Kwame Sefa Kai, Chris Attoh, Nathaniel Attoh, Steve Harvey, LL Cool J.
4: Self Education: Buying books on public speaking, communication, Emceeing etc.
5: Buying tickets to attend events just to watch how the Emcees perform.
6: Practice, Practice, Practice before every show because he always wants to improve on the previous event.
7: Watching videos of his shows, review and improve on them.
8: He always accepts criticisms in good faith, thank the critics, work on it and move on.
9: He sees his appearance as a major tool to his craft. “Just like the hammer is to the Carpenter so are my costumes to my craft”. He always tries to look sharp to suit every occasion.
10: Finally, he involves God before he commences every event.

After National Service, he relocated to Takoradi and was honoured by G Park Excellence Awards as a Professional MC. He had the chance of Hosting Miss Abstinence Ghana and after that show, a Lady known as Rossey, CEO of Rossey Media recommended him to the programmes manager at Yfm in 2014 April and he started as an intern for a year and was later enrolled as a staff.

After his 1st year on Radio, he won the Best Reggae Presenter in Western Region which gave him more exposure. He became the official MC for almost all Yfm events in Takoradi. He rose through the ranks and he is currently the host of the Number 1 late afternoon show in W/R according to Geopoll, that is The Dryve of Your Lyfe/Event Cordinator for Y97.9fm Takoradi and also one of the Best Versatile Event Emcees in Ghana.
