The Tourism Society of Ghana (TOSOGHA) under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, on Friday 22nd July 2022, honoured Original Nii Martey Laryea I, the Teshie Gbugblah Oblahiia Mantse for his contribution in developing the tourism sector.
This took place this year’s edition of the annual Youth in Tourism Festival, held at the Gloriaka Hotel, Winneba and attended by government representatives, tourism industry players, traditional rulers and other dignitaries.
A citation presented to Original Nii Martey Laryea I read, “We are pleased to announce that you have been selected as the recipient of the YOUNG TRADITIONAL LEADER OF THE YEAR – DOMESTIC TOURISM PROMOTER award for this years’ Youth in Tourism Awards. This is in recognition of your outstanding contribution and promotion to domestic tourism among the youth in education, sports, arts and culture”. On the night, Original Nii Martey I received a second award by the society for his Outstanding Contribution to Domestic Tourism.
Receiving his awards, the Youth Chief expressed his profound gratitude to the Tourism Society of Ghana for rewarding his efforts and dedicated the awards to everyone making an effort to promote Ghana as the ultimate tourism destination globally.
The Youth in Tourism Festival is organised by the Tourism Society of Ghana to recognise and celebrate individuals and organisations contributing to the development of the sector with emphasis on the promotion of domestic Tourism.
