
The management, staff and student groups at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) have extended their congratulations to Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah on his appointment as Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Export – Import Bank (GEXIM) by President John Dramani Mahama.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor on behalf of the University on Thursday 14th February 2025 led a team from the University to pay a courtesy call on Hon. Sylvester Mensah at the GEXIM headquarters, located at the Africa Trade House, in Accra.
Professor John Mawutor took the opportunity to open discussion on specific areas of possible collaboration between the University and GEXIM. “We feel proud and honoured about your appointment by His Excellency, the President of the Republic to the prestigious office as the head of Ghana’s leading policy and development Bank. We are happy that one of our own, a senior lecturer for that matter, has been recognized by the President for his exceptional qualities and tireless service to our dear country over the years. We are grateful and express our appreciation to the President”, he added.

On his part, Hon Sylvester Mensah thanked Professor John Mawutor and the team for the courtesy call and best wishes in his new role. He assured them of extending the professionalism and values of the University into his new work environment.

Hon Sylvester Mensah assured the UPSA team of a mutually beneficial collaboration between GEXIM and the University.
