VGMA would have been more competitive with Shatta Wale – Fresh Meddo

Afropop and Afrobeat singer, Fresh Meddo per his scope sees this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA 2023) not to be much competitive and engaging without Shatta Wale’s involvement. “Shatta Wale is one of Ghana’s stars with a very huge following and very vibrant fanbase that aids in generating industry conversations and fueling down moments with energy.“

The multinational artist; Sierra Leonean, Liberian, and Ghanaian; Fresh Meddo who’s currently in the United States working on his forthcoming project, a follow-up to “THE JOURNEY ALBUM“ shared the above opinion in a one-one chat with “the weekend.“

He elaborated; all nominees deserve it, but not having Shatta Wale on the list is just like missing the essential ingredient to propel fanatics to get animated due to how competitive he makes his genre. “I miss seeing his fans and that of Stonebwoy chanting towards the award, if not for Black Sherif; I guess there would have been a low online presence for VGMA this year.“
