Northern Ghana is known for stupendous cultural ingenuity which has lasted for centuries. The Northern part of this wonderful West African isn’t just huge in landscape but comes with its own diverse but unique cultures from fashion, food, chieftaincy, and even agricultural assets, just to name a few.
Zarious, one of the fast growing young music talents in his latest single explores all these diverse cultural exploits of his home Region, Upper East.
Cobby Nana, Director for the video paints a perfect picture of the indigenes seen with colorful traditional outfits doing the “Sankpiki” dance — a popular traditional hip dance by women of Talensi and Gurini — the purpose of the ‘hip dance’ is one that encourages and showcases how strong women are from this part of the country regardless of their motherhood and domestic duties. All these were finely detailed in the lyrics by Zarious, thus defining the song title “Signature”.
“Signature” released barely a week ago is already gunning some good views on YouTube.
Zarious is very hopeful that, in these recent Wale of Afrobeats, there lies a great opportunity for him to export the Ghanaian sounds from the Upper East Region which hasn’t really been exploited, hence, he wants to be a good lead with that. Watch the video here below and get to know more about the rich Ghanaian Culture sold in the visuals for “Signature” by Zarious, the young promising music talent from Upper East Region of Ghana.
