A fast-rising artist from the northern part of Ghana, Mani Mandela is set on taking the Afrobeat genre to newer heights in record time. Gifted with a style that relays Ghana’s rich indigenous culture, Mani fuses English and Twi with his native dialect, Bulisa, to forge melodies that soothe the mind, heart and soul.
Since his debut, Mani has won the hearts of music lovers with organic sounds which profoundly display his great voice and songwriting wits. As such, Mani has to his credit scores of well-received songs like: ‘Give it to Me’, ‘Azumah’, ‘Town Helper’ and a host of songs off his very recent EP, “Melodies from the North” which to date has its music videos on rotation across cable in the country.
In time, such successes have drawn Mani into the spotlight, granting him a slew of interviews on television by the likes of GHOne TV, Kantanka TV, Adoa TV, Green TV and Homebase TV. Radio stations haven’t missed out on the budding act either, with household names like Hitz FM, Kasapa FM, 3FM and YEM FM also lending Mani their platform.
Amid good coverage from media outlets, Mani Mandela’s rise to fame can be strongly attributed to the warm reception garnered by his very recent EP, “Melodies from the North”. The 5-track EP features Ghanaian living legend, Prince Bright of the now defunct music group, Buk Bak and continues to be a thrill for fans. Accordingly, Mani’s hard work has earned him a nomination as “Afro-Pop Artist of the Year” at Emerging Music Awards 2020.
Mani Mandela has made strides in such a short time and is on the verge of securing a good reputation for himself in the Ghanaian music arena. Check out is music on Audiomack, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, etc. and listen to his latest EP ”Melodies from the North” on Apple Music below.
