Africa adds another music talent, his name is Yaw Dhope!

Every year, a fresh wave of new artists burst into the limelight and capture our attention with their remarkable musical abilities.

A crisp sound, unique voice, and fresh perspective – some of the things that endear new artists to listeners. While it’s not easy to predict a breakout star, sometimes the universe gifts us with musicians that seem to possess all the ingredients of a future star.

Young Nigerian born Ghanaian new talent Yaw Dhope with the real name George Nana yaw Adjasoo has qualify to be added to the new voices in the Africa music industry. His music is transcendent and likely to get all Africans bobbing their heads, tweeting the lyrics, or losing themselves on the dance floor.

Yaw Dhope started music at an early age with his father as his influence and inspiration, between the ages 8-12, Yaw had already find his path in music. His dad made him love music. He says, “Because he always has this big radio with cassette tapes. My dad had a particular song he always listens to actually it’s was a Ghanaian song before I noticed my brothers they were into music  my elder brother raps and sing at that time, whiles the one I’m following sings emotionally that was how I started learning, unfortunately, they both Stopped doing music and moved to be sea sailor men. As the last born I have to keep their legacy going”.

Yaw completed all both his elementary schools, Junior High School in Lagos, Nigeria, “and I passed on to Senior High School (SHS) which I went for 2 years a school In Lagos, Apapa called United Christian SHS. I had to stop in SHS 2 before moving to Ghana my reason for stopping is because my father decided me should come to Ghana to further my education. I came to Ghana at the age of 19 to complete my SHS I was taken to the western region to a city called TARKWA where I completed my SHS in a school called FIASEMAN SHS I completed in the year 2012.”

The young artiste who looks up to great talents like Paedae, Sarkodie, M.I, Manifest, says his craft and talent has a particular vibe that music lovers are yeaning to hear, “what makes me different from other artists is the kind of style I’m possessing which Africa and the world have been waiting to hear. You should listen to me and found out.”

Yaw Dhope is an afro-hip hop, Afro-trap hip hop artiste who blends the local languages with other foreign languages like; Yoruba, Hausa, Twi, Ga, Pidgin and English. He has recorded songs with Skillis beat, he dropped an EP last year November dubbed ‘Dreams Come True’ the songs were mix and mastered by Smokey beat. The songs are available on all streaming platforms.

He says, his songs are inspired by where he comes from “the things I have been through all the upside down, things my friends go through just to make it in life and a lot I can’t mention. I’m not under any record label, for now, I formed up my own team with my brothers 217 music 217 actually which means BELIEVE”

He wishes the music industry gives the opportunity to enlighten young or new talents, “there are lots of talents in the youth out there in streets they should try and build an empire on this music business in Ghana just like Nigerians, South Africa, and other the foreign music industry.

Yaw Dhope added that he is the only competition to himself and he promises to give the youth and music lovers what they deserve, “my advice is to love what you do and do what you love. If it has to be done it should be done well put God first in everything you do.”
