All Girls club builds Drone in 2 weeks

An all-girls club from the Afua Kobi Ampem Girls Senior High School in the Trabuom which is 22 kilometers West of Kumasi in the Atwim Kwanwoma District., has manufactured a dual purpose drone within a space of just two weeks.
According to them, the drone can be used for the delivery of essential items such as food and drugs; as well as for mapping and surveillance purposes.
At the Kantanka Ghana Expo 22, Franklina Nyarko, a member of the group shared the name of the drone which she gave as ‘Asrewa Sika Nsuo’.
She went on to explain the rationale behind the choice of name saying ‘Asrewa’ means a beautiful bird while ‘Sika Nsuo’ refers to something very beneficial.
She added that the group also undertakes other projects while producing other innovative products aside from the drone.
One of such projects is the Road Crash Elimination Project which seeks to control road accidents, a feat they boasted that some important personalities including the Minister for Education and the Minister for Road and Highways have all witnessed and commended their good works.
The all-girls club is not a technical school, they indicated, but they the students do engage in some of these innovative projects for the passion of it with the hope of helping solve social problems.
