Araba Cudjoe drops debut single ‘Akakakra’ – WATCH

The Ghanaian gospel stage has added another soothing spirit-filled voice to its amazing characters, the new act named Araba Cudjoe has released her debut single dubbed ‘Akakakra’ which is a twi word which means ‘In a short while’.

According to the artiste who doubles song writer and a wife, ‘Akakakra’ is advocacy to draw men to Jesus Christ and accept him as their Lord and personal saviour as the only way to salvation.

In an interview, she explained that the title of the song was inspired by, “the excuses we always sought to give for our salvation, postponing our salvation to tomorrow as if tomorrow is ours. Salvation is now.

The artist who doubles as a songwriter and a wife started as a solo artist in church, “I did my first demo album about 20years ago, and had to hold on due to other equal responsibilities, but I believe in his time he makes all things beautiful and the time is ripe for me to come out now.”

Araba who is motivated by the love she has for music and worship to be precise, believes Ghanaian gospel has come of age with genres like urban/ contemporary music unlike when it was started. “For me, I believe in the present day, there’s a dramatic move and a revival of the Holy Spirit.”

‘Akakakra is available on iTunes, Spotify, pandora, amazon music, google play music, tidal, Deezer, iheartradio and others also, the following social media handles: @araba1cudjoe on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
