Joey B almost quit music to be a banker – Joey B’s Manager “Komotion” Reveals

In an interview conducted by YXtra TV hosted by TaifaBa, talking to The Kom, an artiste manager who manages Joey B, Sefa x Kleen. The artiste manager shared the struggles he went through with Joey B as an upcoming artiste starting off from going to Lil’ Shaker’s studios walking from North Kaneshie to Kanda. Getting signed to Skillions Records and later getting kicked off the label. As well as Hammer signing him in which he was featured on the “Last Two” album. And his final destination Black Avenue Music where D Black invested a lot of money in Joey B.

Kom talked of how Joey B had to remake his first hit single “Strawberry Ginger” which didn’t initially have D-Black on. Also Joey B recorded Tonga under BAM which was the breakthrough song getting him his first show at Legon Hall Week where according to his manager the team was paid GHc300 back in 2011/12

With the frustration as an upcoming artiste, Joey B once told his manager “Challey, I want to quit music and go join my dad in the UK so i can be a banker”. Later on according to his manager, he Joey B got out of that “moment” of giving up on his music career.
