KiDi imprints his identity on the ‘Golden Boy’ album while exalting his musical genius

KiDi – Golden Boy Album

From the word go, multitalented Ghanaian high-life / afrobeat artist, singer and, songwriter Dennis Nana Dwamena otherwise better known as KiDi has never ceased to impress music lovers, critics, and fans with his splendiferous luxury of music. His 14 track ‘Golden Boy’ album is proof of it.

On this very project, the singer imprinted his identity, music power, and how he intends to take over the music industry and the outside world in no time. ‘Golden Boy’, the opening track on the album makes it obvious. Though he’s just human like everybody who is bound to make mistakes, he magnified his work ethic, ambitions, while epitomizing himself as a responsible family man.

“Birthday Riddim” is a spiritual song with a jamming effect. It’s a song that gives voice to people to appreciate life and live it to the fullest by making it a masterpiece because it’s short-lived. In a nutshell, when you live to see an add up to your age, celebrate!!!

“Touch It, Magic, Dangerous, Cyclone, Mon Bebe, So Fine, Ping Pong and Bad Things” similarly follow the same theme: love adventure, fantasy, and sex. Ideally, ‘Touch It’ happens to be the fans favorite particularly the ladies. It’s one of the biggest songs in Ghana and Africa right now. On these songs, he proved to be a very good bad boy for the ladies.

“Send Me Nudes” featuring Joey B narrates how the advent of the internet and social media has reduced the values of relationships. KiDi addresses the nuclear family dispute on “Daddy Issues”. On this song, he went out of his comfort zone to ride on a reggae beat to pour out his heart on the song. Looks as though it was written out of his life experience.

Kuami Eugene & Patoranking contributed their tasteful vocals to “Spiritual” which makes it my favorite song on the album. It’s a beautiful piece with a highly relatable storyline. “Like A Rockstar” reveals his expensive taste in life. The kind of luxurious lifestyle he intends to live as an artist comes with a chunk of money. The only way out is to make the papers to take on the responsibility as a breadwinner and live his life how he pleases.

The song arrangement on the album, exploring different genres, sound production, features, pen-game, storylines, and KiDi’s rapturous vocals makes the project a must-listened album that cements his place as a star.
