Two old students of Mafi-Kumase Senior High Technical School donate to their Alma-Mater

Two old students of Mafi-Kumase Senior High Technical School in Mafi-Kumase in the Volta Region, Mr Michael Kwaku Avorvuvu and Mr Ernest Anderson Adzrago have donated sports kits to the school’s handball team. The sports kits which consist of two sets of Handball Jerseys, Two sets of white Socks, Two Sets of Sweatbands and Two sets of Goalkeeper’s Protective Cloth are geared towards enhancing sporting activities at the school.
Mr. Avorvuvu and Mr Adzrago who are the Facility owner of Shell Fuel Station-Atimpoku and Ho West District Registration Officer of the National Identifications Authority (NIA) respectively expressed the hope that the donations will boost the morale of the school’s handball team as they prepare for their inter-school sports competition that begun on 8th July, 2022 at Adidome.
At a brief ceremony to present the sports kits, they disclosed that they received an urgent call from a teacher in the school (Mr Francis Awuku) on Tuesday, 5th July, 2022 about the school’s Handball team not having jerseys and kits. The two young men who are always passionate about the school’s development, quickly arranged for the kits to be bought with immediate effect. Mr. Avorvuvu and Mr. Adzrago said MAKSTECH has had a positive impact on their accomplishments in life hence their resolve to give back to their alma mater.
The two friends who were School Prefect and Assistant School Prefect of MAKSTEC for the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 academic years told the students that the school has produced several human resources who are contributing to the development of the country in different sectors of the economy and that should inspire them to excel.
Mr. Ernest Adzrago shared some stories about their days in the school, especially how deprived the school was during their time, and used that opportunity to urged the students to strive hard to achieve both academic and extracurricular activities excellence.
He further advised the entire student body to embrace discipline and respect for their teachers.
The Headmaster of the School, Mr. Seraphim Dumashie, who received the sports kits on behalf of the school’s management and students, lauded Mr. Avorvuvu and Mr. Adzrago for the gesture. He said the donation is very timely since it will motivate the school’s sports team as they prepare for this year’s inter-schools competition. He promised to ensure that the school’s team makes good use of the kits.
The captain of the School’s handball team, gave Mr. Avorvuvu and Mr. Adzrago an assurance that, the team will work hard to win trophies for the school. “We appreciate your donation and words of encouragement and we can assure you that we would not disappoint you and the school during the upcoming inter-schools competition”, he said.
The Assistant Headmaster in charge of Administration, Mr. Nanewodo thanked the two young men for their swift response to the plea from the school. He further pleaded that the Old Students help with an accommodation facility for teachers in campus.
Mr. Michael Kwaku Avorvuvu and Mr. Ernest Anderson Adzrago were members of the 2011 year group of Mafi-Kumase Senior High Technical School.
Present at the presentation were; The Headmaster and his abled Assistant Headmasters, Head of various Departments and other Teachers of the school.
